Genesis 1-3

"If I had been able to read this as an undergraduate I am sure it would have been very helpful. It might have saved me about 15 years of thought and study before coming to similar conclusions to those presented in this lecture!"
- Rev. Dr Ernest C. Lucas, Bristol Baptist College, UK

The Topic Set "Intelligent Design Coming Clean" is an essay on the intelligent design debate from Dr William Dembski one of the advocates of this understanding of nature. It presents his thoughts directly and it is not what someone else says that he is saying. As such it is worth a look. That page also gives other contributions to the debate.

IAP The Interacademy Panel on International Issues: A global network of science academies
For many years science teachers have despaired about students holding strong faith positions which had major implications for learning science. Their response was usually to disparage the faith on account of the untenable science packaged with it. Now we have a welcome statement from a number of Academies of Science around the world which clarifies the distinction between science and questions which cannot be addressed by science. (Note especially the final three paragraphs.) It will help many people avoid the false notion of an intrinsic conflict between science and faith, and ISCAST provides this link to it with approval, believing that properly discerning the scope of science in understanding the nature of God's creation will help open the way to understanding God's revelation in Christ.

Talk Design: Critically examining the Intelligent Design Movement

The Science and Spirit Home Page
"Science & Spirit" explores how science and religion can work together to address the vital issues of our time. Life's complexities can weigh heavy on the spirit. Looking at them through the lenses of both science and religion offers insight neither discipline provides alone.

We appreciate serious science, and we cover a world of faiths. Our mission is to explore the integration of the scientific and spiritual aspects of our culture in a way that is accessible and relevant to everyday living.
